This digital drawing has been used recently on www.rejectedunknown.com and the inside cover of the republished album "Please Don't Feed The Ego". The drawing is from a page in this December 1980 notebook. 1980! This is another indication that Daniel was already very mature as an artist well before his songs started taking shape as collections on cassette tapes. Daniel is also known for collecting typing paper from trash cans (a cassette recording on that topic in coming months!) to draw on the back side, and many of the earliest drawings by Daniel (like those found at www.worriedshoes.com) are on regular typing paper - on the back side of a used page. The Spiral bound notebooks were LINED paper - another indication that he used inexpensive medium to capture his compulsive flow of art, characterizations, poetry, lyrics, and philosopies. To make matters difficult for us later, he would draw or write on BOTH SIDES of each page. So some - like this example -
have some serious "bleeding" through the page. This digital
