Various anonymous street musicians and artists

I just wanted to let you all know that the charity album “Live From Nowhere Near You : Volume Two” is (FINALLY) done!

For those of you who do not know, or might need a reminder : “Live From Nowhere Near You” is a benefit concept CD collaborating street musicians with professionals to tell a story of life on the streets, and to and from there, giving ALL of the profits to homeless and street youth programs of the Pacific NW. The album was done with no label support or staff… I recorded the majority of the music in my attic studio and basement, in donated spaces, and live on the streets and in alley ways or under bridges. Volume One was released in 2003, and Volume Two was just picked up for release by Greyday Records, hitting store shelves everywhere on July 19th, 2011.

The Volume Two effort is three (3) FULL CD’s long and over 210 minutes. The full contributor list, in no preferential order, is attached and at the very end of this email. There are a LOT of people on this thing, and definitely a few friends and artists that you will recognize… so, please check it out.

You can get the whole FULL 3 CD Set right now for ONLY $15 if you purchase it via the Pre Sale Link below. I strongly encourage use of the Pre Sale Link as this as 1/ you will get the physical three CD set with beautiful packaging and artwork PLUS a digital download version… 2/ it is probably the lowest price you will find (once the CD hits retail they usually add a dollar or two)…  3/ it is the ONLY way to get ALL of the tracks (there are a couple of big name artists that will NOT appear on the digital only versions)… 4/ you will get BONUS songs (a couple now and a couple more on release day, along with some album preview tracks immediately upon purchase)… 5/ you will likely have the CD in your sweaty little hands a week before they are even in stores… …6/ most of the sixty four tracks are exclusive to the album and cannot be found anywhere else, and …7/ all profits go to charity!!

Please check out the whole contributor list attached, but a few of the names that might catch your pretty little eyes : our friends from Pearl Jam (twice), The Strokes, Modest Mouse, James Mercer of The Shins, Elliott Smith (twice), The Dandy Warhols (a few times), Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Chris Funk and John Moen of The Decemberists, Britt Daniel of Spoon, Bright Eyes, Vive Voce, Danny Seim of Menomena, Daniel Johnston, Dave Allen of Gang of Four, Corin Tucker of Sleater-Kinney, John Doe of X, Mike Watt, Third Eye Blind, Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree, Pete Miser of The Five Fingers of Funk, Mic Crenshaw, of Dead Prez, Josh Homme of Queens of The Stone Age and Them Crooked Vultures, Blind Pilot, Danny Delegato of The Hugs, The Presidents of the United States, Pink Martini, Wilco, Ryan Adams, The Helio Sequence, The Ettes, Dan Reed, Shawn Smith of Satchel and Brad, Logan Lynn, Nathan Jr of MWard and Duover, Joe Purdy, The Robots, the son of Dave Davies of the Kinks, and many more… not to mention some amazing street musicians.

What are you waiting for? Album Pre Sale Link is here:

Finally, here is a Facebook link if you want to follow along or tell your friends as we announce exactly what each of the following people have contributed to the effort, with whom, the names of songs, etc etc. It was just built a day or so ago, so it is in its infant stages, so please help it grow:
