Perhaps the single most famous
drawing by Daniel Johnston was a simple image done on the side of the Sound
Exchange music store in 1994, and preserved by the outcry of Austin citizens
and John Oudt in 2004 when the building was converted into the Baja Fresh
Restaurant.
